Today, I am Linking up, and doing the 5 Minute Friday Post. Sadly, they are taking a break in December, so, I won't be having any posts here about 5 Minute Fridays. GO!
When a child becomes old enough, we teach them manners. WE teach them to say, " Thank You" "Please" and "Your Welcome" We have always been taught to say those, and we will continue for the rest of our lives.
Saying thank you means more when your older. We appreciate more. We learn to know, what to be thankful for. Everyday we probably say thank you a lot and not even realize that we say it. It has become more and more habitual, that we just say it.
Last week, I taught my grade two's how to pray. So I used the Acronym, " PRAY" Which I told them meant, P= Praise him ( Thank Jesus) R= Rest in his arms A= Ask him and Y= Say YES To JESUS! I made sure that somewhere in there, it said Praise him, or Thank him. Cause we have so Much to thank God for, it's not even funny.
Lord God,We Thank You For Our Loving Family,The Food on out table; The Roof covering our heads; The Clean water that runs from our taps; The power of Electricity; The unity of a community; The unity of a Nation; The unity of Beleivers Lord God, We ask that you bless everyone in this world, that they may find you and know you. Lord God, come a fill us with your spirit, To open our eyes, to be thankful for everything we have, and not be envy of everything we don't have
Jesus Remember me today and everyday I live. Please help me as i share my Faith with others.May you never abandon mebut fill be with your Holy Spirit to do your will So that one day, I may be called home.
"Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."
I'm sure, every Christian blogger as blogged about this verse. I'm sure every Christian blog as their version/meaning of this one verse. It's so unique, and Jesus is telling us what we must do to follow him. At first, we 'think' this is such an easy passage to understand, but if you really look at it, it can be really hard.
So, lets check out every aspect of this passage; from the times of Jesus; to the simplicity of the words he speaks.
Back in the time of Jesus as we ALL know, that Crucifixion was the common way of death, if people went against the law or did something bad that causes or caused harm to the people. And i'm pretty sure we all know how Jesus died. But an important part of his death, is when he had to carry his cross. He had to carry it from the Holy City to, 'The Place Of The Skull' B…
We all have our own prayers, and all prayers are equal. Sturctured Prayers ( Example, Our Father) and your own "informal" prayer. ( Example, That one you say at night) All prayers are equal because they are our way of talking to God, and there is no right way nor wronge way to talk to God... Fpr afterall he is our best Friend. This coming weekend I will be teaching my little Grade Twoers about Prayer. I'm not 100% sure what I will be teaching, but I know it's about prayer. And I'm going to make sure I stress the point that there is no wrong way to pray, and that God is your best firend, father, and Lord, that you can say anything to.
So, today, I thought I would write a nice, easy, simple prayer, that can be said whenever and however, as long as it's to God. Lord God, You are my Creator, Firend, Father, and Brother. I Thank You for everything, and aways being there for me when others are not. Please send your spirit to help my family, and I this day,That we ca…
In Flanders Fields the poppies blowBetween the crosses, row on row,That mark our place; and in the skyThe larks, still bravely singing, flyScarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days agoWe lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,Loved, and were loved, and now we lieIn Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe:To you from failing hands we throwThe torch, be yours to hold it high.If ye break faith with us who dieWe shall not sleep, though poppies growIn Flanders fields.
Shhhh, don't tell anyone, but today i'm linking up and doing the Five Minute Friday post. I find it a little harder, because I could go on and on. but today, I will be quiet. I will be short and simple, to the point. I won't go on and on, and maybe today I will actually be in my five minute time limit. GO!
So, i'm sitting hear asking myself ,"What should I write about?" And so I started to think about stories that involve quietness; couldn't think of any. I tried thinking of what I normally blog about, I didn't want to. I started thinking, and then my quiet thoughts, slowly faded away, with the noise around me.
