Age is Just A Number

Indeed your age is just a number.... According To God

Yes, Today is my birthday.

And well simply, age is a number. Not saying I'm getting old, and having a mid life crisis. Your birthday is just another step forward in climbing the hill of life. Taking that next step up. Some are lower on that hill and some are further up. Where ever you are, it's the experiences with Family and Friends that make that hill to climb more interesting.

11 'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you; give you a future and a hope12 'Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 'You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29: 11-13
God has a plan for us all. Whether we like it or not. God has planted something special in us. Something that will grow and grow, that will help form, new experiences, new laughs, and maybe even new tears.

I personally HATE it when people judge one another for what they do in life, or what they have ect... God put us all in different settings; different situations, to live through and to live by. He all gave us something different in life. Knowing that, I really hate it when people make fun of others for what they have, what they like for two reasons. 1 They are making fun of God indirectly and 2 They could be hurting the persons feelings.

Indirectly, they are making fun of Gods plan for another person. Everyone was given their own thing; their own talent why make fun of them for that? God entrusted us to use these gifts for the good. For those people who make fun of others are usually self centered, self appraised, and self focused  They seek their own ways, and not that of God.

It's them being scared of not knowing where they are going next. If they have their own way, they would simply plan out the rest of their life and plan things to go exact, but God knows life doesn't work that way. It simply doesn't. God has his own plan hidden from us. So we can't shape it into our own. It's for the better.

Regardless of your age, GOD WILL USE YOU! God will guide you, and use you to be part of his almighty plan. He is the GREAT and ever lasting God! God uses everyone, some may be in a smaller way and others in a bigger way. But at the end he uses us all.

This takes great Faith. Faith defines us in Gods eyes. Our belief in the invisible; in the things which we cannot see.  Many people may find this strange but just has Jesus said,  "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.”

What a miracle it is to be given our own fruits; our own gifts. To be given that one thing that defines us for who we are. We are all given our own thing, our own identity, and it is with Faith that we are called to pray, to discern what that thing is, that we are meant to do. We are all called to do our part for this world. What ever our age is.

As much as I may not like Lil' Waynes music, I do certainly like the commercial he was put in for Mountain Dew. I fell in love with it from the moment I saw it. It's been on t.v for a while now, but if you haven't seen it Check it out:

So, regardless of how old you are, God will use you. God has a plan for all of us. All you must do, is Pray To God Today, and Everyday, to discern his will for you. For God has plans to prosper you and not to harm you!!! God is Great! Have Faith!

Forgive... Not Seven times but Seventy Seven times

21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
Matthew 18:21-22
It's very hard to forgive. Forgiveness is essential to our life here on earth. Jesus gave us the perfect example of forgiveness while he was on earth. Jesus loved us so much that he bore all our sins on the cross that goes before us. Every wrong we have done; every pain has become  A LOT LIGHTER because Jesus bore it before us.
Jesus is asked by his own, disciples, how many times should they forgive. Because they know that they have to forgive, and they know they everyone does wrong, but how much is enough? We need to draw a line right? No.
Jesus tells us that we shouldn't just forgive seven times. He told us to forgive 77 times. Or 77 X 7 times. Which is a more perfect number. Jesus told us that we must forgive has many times that someone does wrong. …

Fishers of Men

I have had the pleasure recently to start teaching again the First Penance and Eucharist at my Parish. It is always  a great time for me to know that I am laying the seeds of God in their heart and knowing that I am preparing them for a once-in-life-time event.  I love seeing the kids who are earnest to learn and who want to be there.

In todays' Gospel, we are presented with an overview of Jesus life. Jesus does three distinctive things, that Matthew wraps up very quickly. He teaches, proclaims, and heals. These three unfold for us what we can expect from Jesus during his life time.  However, before he begins his own life and mission one thing had to happen- the Death of John the Baptist. John, we know, was the last of the Prophets and his main mission was to make sure people were finally ready for the King  to come. Jesus, therefore, couldn't start until the paths were made straight.

Jesus mission on earth is the great light that has appeared in the darkness. In…

Feed My Sheep

During this Easter season we are given the opportunity to listen and reflect on the word of God from the Gospel of John. For the third and final time this weekend, we will hear a post-resurrection appearance of Christ to his apostles. It is through these appearances that Christ proves his resurrection, dispels the darkness of doubt in his apostle’s mind, and commissions them to make known the love and joy of these events to the world.

The Gospel this weekend tells us that after the death and resurrection of Christ, the disciples have returned to fishing, as they once did before they followed Christ. These skilled fishermen do not catch anything all night, until a man comes on the shore of the beach and tells them to cast their net on the right side of the boat, and they catch an abundance of fish, that the net should have broke, but it did not. After they caught these fish, the apostles realized that it was the Lord, who has now called them a second time from their job of fishing to …
